Ron DelBene
Interim Rector

Ron DelBene*  has been ordained for twenty-eight years. He holds a Master’s degree in Theology and a Doctor of Ministry degree in Spirituality and  Organizational Systems. Ron has done additional postgraduate work in education, psychology, and counseling. He has been Assistant Professor of Theology, Director of a Campus Ministry Center, National Consultant in Religion and Executive in Marketing and Sales for an education division of CBS, a corporate Visioning Consultant, an Executive for Program, Rector and an Intentional Interim in parish ministry.

Ron has worked with Cursillo, Walk to Emmaus, Happening, Kairos and Epiphany. He has been doing spiritual direction and leading programs in the area of spirituality and pastoral care since 1963, and served as a Member of the Coordinating Council of Spiritual Directors International. He is a poet, artist and author of books and videos.

His wife, Dr. Eleanor McKenzie DelBene, has a private practice in spiritual direction and directs The Hermitage, a nonprofit corporation devoted to providing spiritual growth and direction. Ron and Eleanor live in Trussville, Alabama, and have grown children, Paul and Anne. Paul and his spouse, Gayle, have a daughter, Matsue, and a son, Luca. Paul is a theatre performer and director. Gayle is a physical therapist. Anne is an ADA consultant and a professional nature photographer.
